There are a couple of reasons why your veterinarian may have received a little less than the total amount raised through your campaign:
- Sometimes the invoice submitted is for less than the full campaign amount. In these cases, we can only pay out the amount on the invoice to ensure donors know their gifts are being used exactly as intended. Any unused funds don’t go to waste—they’re applied to grants that help other pets in need.
- If your veterinarian chose not to set up e-payments and we needed to send a check instead, a small processing fee is deducted to cover the cost we incur for mailing checks. Our check processing fee is capped at the lesser of $50 or 15% of the payment amount and is deducted from the payment amount rather than billed to your provider.
We know every dollar matters, and we do our best to make sure as much as possible goes directly toward pets’ care.
